Yamaha 250cc Bike Design Review

There are rumours that the upcoming Yamaha 250cc bike for India will go on sale under the FZ moniker. Frankly, this bike does look like a Yamaha FZ, albeit, a premium version. There are bits, like the end-can, which have been directly lifted off the FZ. However, the bike carries several design features that seem to have been taken from the MT03 and M-Slaz. The highlights include LED headlamps, chiselled fuel tank. muscular tank extensions and stubby exhaust. Overall, the upcoming 250cc Yamaha has enough to make a bold statement. The recent teaser image shows the bike’s headlight unit.

It’s not secret KTM is working on new generation models of the Duke series. After numerous videos and spy shots of the 390 Duke, new images of the 200 Duke have surfaced online. Both new KTM models are going to make their debut at EICMA in Milan in November 2016. Since the KTM 200 Duke is manufactured in India, it shouldn’t be long before they make it to Indian showrooms. Our guess is that the new 2017 KTM Duke 200 India launch will take place in early 2017. Read our story here for more info on the new 2017 KTM 200 Duke India launch, specifications, price and more.

Overdrive has managed snap pictures of a nearly production-ready prototype of the KTM 200 Duke. Earlier, images of the 390 Duke had surfaced online showing quite a few of the new bike’s features. The new 2017 KTM Duke 200 India launch date could fall in the first quarter of 2017. KTM will unveil the bike at the EICMA 2016 that will take place between 8 and 13 November 2016 in Milan.

In an interesting development, KTM seems to have halted the production of the 200 Duke at their facility in Chakan. Also, KTM reported sales of zero units of the Duke 200 during October 2016. The bike does not figure on KTM’s official web page either. The only logical explanation we can come up with is that KTM is preparing to launch the bike in India soon.

The new 2017 KTM Duke has been spotted testing in India for the first time. Here’s the video footage from this sighting-

The internet has been abuzz with speculations and spy pictures of the 2017 KTM 200/390 Dukes. The most recent pictures snapped in India and Europe show that the changes in the bike are anything but minor updates. There is also a video that has emerged from the Youtube channel 'Burn N Run' with a full walk around of the 390.

KTM to launch new Duke 200/                Duke 390

Firstly, it’s been confirmed that this is pretty much the final form for the updated model and it actually looks like a scaled-down version of the 1290 Super Duke R. In fact, one or more of the paint schemes on offer will be identical to its larger 1,301cc sibling. Although the new tank’s capacity is still unknown, the spy images reveal a more aggressive design. The interesting bit, however, is that the tank is now supposed to be all-metal; great news for those who want to use magnetic tank bags and other riding gear. The 390 has been the bike of choice for many who like to take the open highway.
